"Get back here!" shouted Savage Assassin to an unfortunate thief. He didn't have time for this, really, but he had decided to let Foonation have some real training by actually keeping his eyes open for a thief. Of coarse, he expected to let the thief go, after a bit of torture, back to the streets of Umar to continue his lowdown life. After all, Savage Assassin had been a thief once, until he had decided to join up with Feind Slayer's gang in hopes of some adventure.
"You're going to pay dearly for your crime," Savage Assassin imitated the old guard who used to capture him after a burglary. "A few months in prison should teach you a lesson!"
Then the thief turned around, confused. Wasn't he being chased by a commoner, not a guard? It was his worst mistake ever.
Foonation, who had been waiting patiently right where his mentor had instructed, saw his cue, and leaped upon the thief with practiced acrobatics. When the thief was out cold, Foonation smiled, glad to have assisted his teacher.
"Excellent," panted Savage Assassin, as soon as he jogged up. "Feind Slayer will be glad of the news."
"Now can we kill 'im?" asked Foonation, excited.
Savage Assassin pretended to think about it carefully. "No, you dipstick! Not even the real guards are that harsh about a petty thievery!" He removed the fake gold nugget and a small dagger from the thief's unconscious body before continuing, "But I will le' ya trow a few k-nives by 'is scrawny li'le 'ead for a few minootis if yer 'eart so desiris."
"Cool," replied Foonation. "and don't look now, but I think that this particular thief has a few buddies that just so happen to be standing right behind you, and they don't look too overjoyed about it either."
