Right, I've noticed some off-topic posting around here, and I guess rules need to be put up about it. Here are a few basic guidelines:
Yes, I know that the description of the General Board says "You can talk about anything here." But use common sense--why would an admin spend their time creating boards with different subjects if you could just post in one board? Look at it like this. The General Board is for talking about things such as:
Not for things like this:
To clear it up, spamming/posting off-topic is something like this...This is something I created at the top of my head.

Upload your picture to a host like photobucket.com (It's free. Under 13? Lie.). When it's uploaded, highlight and copy the link that says [ IMG ] picture link here [ / IMG ] without the spaces, and post it in your topic/reply.

No problem. Glad I could help ^^
Also, if you have a question and nobody really knows, you can PM an admin or mod.
And the final rule--try not to double/triple/quadruple/ect post. It's really annoying.
Okay. That's all. Just try to keep in mind where you're posting, and what you're posting, and help keep the place a lot more friendly!
- If you have a question about something, make a topic in the Help board.
- When introducing yourself, make a topic in the New Members board.
- When you have a link to post, post a topic in the Links board.
- When you are bragging about something, post it in the Showing Off board.
- When posting about your characters, go to the About Your Characters board.
- Though this is actually common sense...When you're writing a RP, start one under the categories that say things like "Animal RP," etc.
- DO NOT start a topic for chatting in the RPing boards.
- IF have your own board, such as my Kin'tiac'la'nec., for RPing, you may post an Info Topic.
- An Info Topic is something like this: The History and Topography of Kin'tiac'la'nec.
- I would suggest if you make an Info Thread, sticky it so that it is not buried under RP threads or chat threads if it is in the General Board.

But use common sense--why would an admin spend their time creating boards with different subjects if you could just post in one board? Look at it like this. The General Board is for talking about things such as:
- Polls
- Important announcements, about you/your character
- Something that doesn't fit in any of the other boards.
Not for things like this:
- Showing off a petz
- A thread with a question
- RPing
- Links
